Each July (though not this year) the world's greatest golfers assemble in the UK to compete for The Open.  With them come more than 1000 media who are all housed and looked after in The Open Media Centre. 

For many years, during her late teens and early twenties, Tara formed part of the media centre team that looked after players and global media alike.  She was a key member of team that came together once a year to support this major sporting event.  Her energy, kindness and warmth meant that she was incredibly popular and loved by the whole team.  Tara was a force of positivity and a friend to all of us.  We all watched on with pride as she built her career, most recently in sport with Nike.

It is hard to fathom that Tara is gone.  The world is poorer for losing her infectious optimism and joyful nature.  At a time when there is no much darkness in the world it seems so unfair and unjust to lose such a shining light.  All of us who worked with Tara at The Open will miss her dearly but will always cherish the special times we shared together.  

Rest in peace, Tara.  You are much missed.
